CONSTITUTION

PREAMBLE
For God and Country, we, the members of the U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force) associate ourselves together for the following purposes:

To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to support law and order; to foster and perpetuate loyalty to the United State of America; to preserve memories and experiences of American military veterans of all wars, especially those veterans of the World War I U.S. Army AEF from which our name originates; to promote a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to promote peace and prosperity for our American citizenry; to prepare for and respond to natural and man made crisis, and to safeguard and transmit to every member the principles of justice, freedom and democracy.

ARTICLE I
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force).
Section 2. The National Headquarters of the U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force) shall be in any state in which the organization operates.
ARTICLE II
NATURE
Section 1. The U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force) is a civilian quasi-military organization; membership therein does not affect nor increase liability for military or police service.
Section 2. The U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force, Inc.) shall be nonpolitical and shall not be used for the dissemination of partisan principles nor for the promotion of the candidacy of any person seeking public office.
Section 3. The U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force, Inc.) shall abide by and comply with provisions of the Constitution of the United States and the constitutions of the states in which it operates.
ARTICLE III
ORGANIZATION
Section 1. The U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force, Inc.). shall be organized by state and battalions, companies or detachments in those separate states, including the District of Columbia, as determined and approved by the Board of Directors. There may be one or more battalions in each state, the District of Columbia, and in each territory and insular possessions of the United States.
ARTICLE IV
ELIGIBILITY
Section 1. An individual is eligible for membership in the U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force, Inc.), if the individual:

Has served in the Armed Forces of the United States or
-
A State Defense Force as defined under Title 32 USC; or
-
Such other person as approved for membership by the Board of Directors.
Section 2. There shall be no form or class of membership except an active membership, and dues shall be paid annually.
ARTICLE V
AUTHORITY TO COMMISSION OFFICERS
NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS AND ENLISTED MEMBERS
The U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force, Inc.), in its role as controlling corporation of The Veterans of World War 1 of the USA, Inc., a federal entity incorporated by the U.S. Congress July 18, 1958; under 36 USC CH. 2303, and reaffirmed by the U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force, Inc.), at an Annual National Convention, November 15, 2024, is granted authority to commission voluntary military officers, non-commissioned officers, and enlisted personnel as provided in its Rules and Regulations then in effect.
ARTICLE VI
RATIFICATION
Section 1. All acts performed and charters heretofore granted by the organization of The Veterans of World War 1 of the USA, Inc. are hereby ratified and confirmed.
