Honoring veterans of all American military conflicts, especially those of the U.S. Army AEF (American Expeditionary Force) who fought in France during The Great War 1917-1918.

The 3rd Calvary Division was never officially activated, although several individual units served with distinction. This is to honor those who never got the recognition they deserved.

The U.S. Army VEF, is the successor to The Veterans of World War 1 of the USA, Inc. Congresssional Charter 36 USC CH. 2303 granted July 1958 [1]

Historical Context
U.S. Army AEF
President Woodrow Wilson formed the U.S. Army American Expeditionary Force (AEF) in 1917 under the command of MG John “Black Jack” Pershing. By 1918, it numbered over 4,000,000 soldiers in 43 Divisions. AEF soldiers fought with distinction on the Western Front in the battles of Chateau-Thierry, Belleau Wood, Saint-Mihiel, and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, the largest land battle ever fought by United States forces. By the time of the 1918 Armistice, 116,708 American soldiers had died and another 204,000 had been wounded. Tragically another 757 American civilians died due to military action.

For God and Country, the U.S. Army VEF (Veteran Expeditionary Force) exists for the following purposes:
To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to recognize law and order; to foster and perpetuate loyalty to the United State of America; to preserve memories and experiences of American military veterans of all wars, especially those veterans of the World War I U.S. Army AEF from which our name originates; to promote a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to promote peace and prosperity for our American citizenry; to prepare for and respond to natural and manmade crisis, and to safeguard and transmit to every member the principles of justice, freedom and democracy.
